Josephine Nasimiyu Sagwa could not stand her mother’s constant nagging about playing Lotto. Her mum Beatrice Sagwa kept insisting that KES 50 could elevate someone’s life and that it should not be taken for granted.
Nasimiyu started playing the game to please her mother but it eventually became a habit. She could play three times a week and participate in one or two draws. True to her mother’s constant reminder, she became the winner of Give Me Five Power Draw. The win came with an extra KES 1,000,000, a three years warranty with DT Dobbie and free fuel from Total, for a year.
The Lotto winner hails from Vihiga County started playing Lotto in March this year. It never crossed her mind that she could win anything close to KES 100,000.
“I lack words to explain how I feel. My redeemer lives. I Thought it was a fraud when Lotto called. They asked for my details but was not willing to give all details about myself. We were at my mums place in Syokimau with the kids when the news came to me. Everyone in the house screamed and started singing jubilant songs. Maybe this blessing has come to me through my mother because she has played for a long time and especially because she is the one who introduced me to the game.” she states jubilantly
The feeling of winning five cars for Nasimiyu is just heavenly. For someone who is used to commuting to work, it is just impeccable. She states that God can do wonders and when He decides to bless one, He does in a big way.
“I am a living testimony that God lives. I used to have a car, it was still a Vox Wagen. God has returned it five times. This win is God sent bearing in mind that this year has been very tough for our family. God has revealed Himself at the end of it and I cannot thank Him enough!” states Nasimiyu
The KES 1,000,000 will elevate her to heights she never imagined she could get to as quickly as she has. Due to numerous responsibilities and with the current state of the Kenyan economy, it is not easy for her to save KES 1,000,000 from her job earnings. For a family person, children and unforeseeable events take center stage. One always has to take care of them first.
Nasimiyu does not intend to change her nature even with the great fortune that has come her way. As prayerful as she is, she will seek for God’s guidance. She wishes to start a venture that will benefit the community.
“I will take one car for my own use. The rest, we shall sit together as a family and decide on how we shall put them in good use. I don’t intend to leave my job. I am going to aim higher to ensure my children will never lack. ” she states
Nasimiyu works at a forex bureau. She hardly misses work. She is a diligent worker. Her biggest dream is to start her own business and be her own boss before 40. Jehovah has done it for her.
“Lotto unites Kenyans. For instance, this five cars that I have won, I will help the community. The business ventures that I will start with the cars, the Kenyan economy will be boosted.” states Nasimiyu
Nasimiyu believes that in Lotto, diligence and focus on the game is a great recipe for winning. She adds that God manifests Himself to people who are faithful and just as Lotto receives great favors thanks to its goal of giving back to the society through the Lotto Foundation, the players too will be favored soon.
“I would like to tell my fellow Kenyans that God is real and He answers prayers. God has opened floodgates of heaven for me and my family. I have never witnessed anybody win anything. Now a living testimony that Lotto is real. Continue playing and one day you will win just like me. May you all have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year full of God’s favor and always pray for Kenya,” she concludes
